Dale Williams has degrees from Washington and Lee and Tulane Universities and is a 1987 graduate of Loyola Law School. He clerked for Chief Justice Pascal Calogero in 1987-88 and set up a plaintiff-oriented employment practice about three years later. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and all the state and federal courts in the state of Louisiana.

Dale is a Vietnam veteran. He served in the U.S. Army as an artillery officer in the 25th Infantry Division where he was twice decorated for gallantry. He retired from the Army Reserve in 2006 holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

He is married to Robin Holtz Williams, a classical pianist who was lately chair of the Department of Music at the University of New Orleans. He and Robin have two grown children. He is an elder at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Mandeville.
